Welcome to PDX Fencing

home of, 2 time, National Saber Champion Malia Hee and some of the best fencers in the country. We teach the Olympic sport of saber fencing in a fun, family oriented environment. Our dedicated, passionate staff, fencers and parents look forward to welcoming anyone who is interested in learning more about this exhilarating sport. Fencing attracts a wide range of individuals, often called physical chess it's a tactical and strategic sport at high speed. Age ranges from age 7 to 90. Fencers of all ages compete locally, regionally, nationally and internationally - whatever the individual desires. We are a proud member of the United States Fencing Association.

We offer youth and adult competitive and recreational programs, winter & Summer Camps, school, after-school and home-school P.E./fencing classes and amazing fitness classes. In addition we do birthday parties and group parties in our state of the art facility. We are conveniently located right off the 217 Freeway and Allen exit. Fencing develops agility, balance, discipline, coordination, good sportsmanship, mental acuity and creative problem solving. Want to learn to fence? Our facility has a specialized floor making it easier on ankles, knees and hips, air-conditioning, heat, Wi-Fi, home-work area, office work area for parents, lockers, comfortable waiting area, a spectator viewing area, children's play area, snack & drink machine. Club members enjoy unlimited access during club hours to our work-out area, parents can work out while waiting for children.

At the same venue, Will Stanton placed 11th out of over 100 competitors, in the Div III Men's Saber Event and Alex Lam Placed 28th out of a huge turnout of 119 competitors in the Div II Event!

Super Youth Tournament, Bellevue, WA

Last Sunday ended the weekend with a total of 8 medals brought home by our youth fencers. Congratulations to all of our team for a strong showing at the Super Youth tournament in Bellevue.

3 more medals! Eva Hinds - silver, Christina Boitano - Bronze, Ethan Tsao - 5th place. Way to go!

Dec. 12, 2011: Kansas City - Div. 2 Women's sabre, Petra Khan wins the gold and her B rating. Way to go Petra woo hoo!

Sherry Green wins the BRONZE in Kansas!
Dec. 9, 2011: Kansas City - Sherry Green wins the bronze in Women's Vets. Saber, her first post surgery competition! Congratulations - now that's what we call a recovery!

Nov. 12, 2011. She's been wanting her B rating and today she got it! Gold, in Womens Y-14 saber at the North America Cup in Austin. Way to go Malia! Congratulations to all our fencers in Austin.
